What is the best diet? We live in a time where our society sees healthy eating as dieting. They see eating pizza, bread, cheese, sugar and alcohol as balance. In 25 years of being in the health and wellness industry, it’s dramatic how much it’s changed.
It’s actually considered shaming to suggest that someone is overweight while people often try to convince a fit person they are too thin. I heard someone telling my husband the other day he shouldn’t lose another pound. He’s the healthiest he’s been in my 11 years of knowing him, and they spoke to him like he was committing a crime.
We are not going to achieve our highest potential if we continue to keep our love for food and alcohol as our first priority. Our desires to please the flesh should not trump our desire to be healthy, physically fit, and mentally sharp.
Food has the ability to change our thinking, diminish our motivation, and kill our passion and zest for a more fruitful life. The correct balance of food could do the opposite. It, in fact, could turn everything around for you.
There is not condemnation, but God clearly speaks that our walk must have purpose. He engages us to take action for our health to create the secure foundation we need for a quality life. Your food could change everything for you. Poison in moderation is still poison. Don’t get caught up in what everyone else is doing. Stand up for a better way, and you will stand out for excellence. Your discipline will change your life and will accelerate you to higher levels. It will create a freedom like you have never felt. It will also remove medications, doctor visits, and so many limits you have on your life.
Take control of your choices today. Healthy eating is not a diet. It’s a lifestyle — one you will never regret choosing. If you don’t know where to turn we can help. It’s what we do.
God bless you as you chase after greatness.
