Is Cereal Healthy?

I haven’t eaten a bowl of cereal in at least 20 years. I don’t feel good when I eat grains. I feel slow and tired. I also feel like I swallowed a bowling ball. I have several clients that feel this way. I enjoy it. I just don’t enjoy the result after, so it’s not worth it to me.

I eat blueberries daily. I also try to add a handful of walnuts into my day. Sometimes I add it to my salad. Other times, I make my pretend bowl of cereal in my tea cup: I put 3/4 cup of organic blueberries in my tea cup, and I add 8-to-10 whole walnuts I have crumbled by hand. I add one small dash of pure stevia and pour unsweet vanilla coconut milk over all of it. Then I sit back and eat it like a bowl of cereal. I start my day like this often with my coffee, including 20g of collagen, and my roasted romaine.

Blueberries are rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants create a shield around the cell to help protect it from being damaged. They are also a great source of Vitamins C and K, as well as fiber. Because of the fiber content, blueberries can help lower cholesterol and blood pressure.

Walnuts are a great source of ALA. That is an anti-inflammatory Omega 3 fatty acid. They are the only nut high in them. This can help reduce the risk of heart disease. The anti-inflammatory polyphenols in walnuts might improve brain function and slow mental decline.

I enjoy this healthy start to my day!
