Before I became a trainer at Integrity Training Systems I was a client. I had been a client for several years! In the past, I would get bored with my training programs and move on to another program or gym but something was different about Integrity and the trainers there. They didn’t just give me a workout, they became invested in my life and my goals. I never got bored and always felt good after I walked out of those doors. Every time, I left a training session or a nutrition session I would feel a high like no other. It is hard to explain but I knew I was exactly where the Lord wanted me.
It only seemed natural to become certified with National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and to make my already home and family more official. I have always been passionate about fitness and teaching so it seemed like a perfect fit. I was a stay at home mom for 8 years with a background in education. I received my Masters in teaching and taught kindergarten and 1st grade for many years. I loved being in the classroom!
Instructing individuals on their workouts wasn’t much different than teaching in the classroom. In fact, I still get eye rolls from clients when I tell them to do burpees or mountain climbers. Teaching in the classroom and training have many similarities. I still need to build relationships and motivate individuals to do their personal best. I still get to take part and celebrate successes and improve on shortcomings. I still get to challenge those who need to be challenged and modify for those who just aren’t there yet. I still need to plan engaging and fun workouts so clients realize they are working and pushing themselves. I know 100% that I am right where the Lord wants me and I am very blessed to be part of the Integrity family. I still get a high when I leave the Integrity doors but this time it isn’t for myself. The high I receive now is because I spent 50 minutes helping change someone’s life!
